A Future Memory was chosen out of 140 submissions to be screened in Season 6 of the International ScreenDance Festival on December 9, 2021.

Memory is often associated with recalling the past, but imagining the future can also be a kind of nostalgia. The same structures in our brain that are responsible for remembering are also responsible for forecasting. In re-living and pre-living, our brains are piecing together and creating a scene for us to experience. A Future Memory is a piece that is inspired by this back-and-forth dialogue and plays with our perception of time and memory.

GreenDream premiered at Montclair State University’s MFA Dance Choreography and Film Showing on June 26, 2020. It was selected as an official selection for Frostbite International Film Festival based in Colorado Springs, CO (2020) and showcased for FilmFest by Rogue Dancer (2021).

Created in collaboration with Anthony Fung, this was my first foray into creating, directing, and performing in a dance film. Green is a colour that symbolizes balance, growth, learning, and harmony, and represents the start of a new chapter as I pursue my graduate studies at MSU.

Passage is a sanctuary. dance film, created in collaboration between Alexandra Thomsen and Joyce Lo.

Alex and I connected through Instagram and when she asked me to create this with her I said yes! She lives in Texas and I live in Toronto, so having never actually met, this was a completely remote collaboration.

Longing was selected to be a part of LA Dance Film Festival’s Dance Films on the Lawn in August 2023 and FilmFest by Rogue Dancer's December 2020 online screening.

Longing is a short contemporary dance film about a woman in a long-distance relationship. She yearns for the feeling of closeness and the comfort of physical touch, though present circumstances make situations uncertain as to when she will be able to reunite with her partner again. Although physically apart, her passion and thoughts still linger to keep their love alive and strong.
